Applicant must be Ontario Resident and able to be Toronto based for duration of position. Potential funding available for travel and accommodation for an out of Toronto candidate.

POSITION: Associate Producer

LOCATION: TORONTO and potentially other shooting locations.

PAY: Commensurate with experience

DATES (approx): mid-August to mid-November, 2019

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Night Raiders is a Canadian sci-fi feature film that will be shot in Ontario and Manitoba in Fall 2019. The film is written and directed by Danis Goulet, a Saskatchewan-born Cree/Métis filmmaker whose shorts include the award-winning Wakening and Barefoot. Currently the film is looking for an Associate Producer with experience in film/television production to support the producing team. The ideal candidate would also have experience in training and mentorship. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will be assisting the producing team with other tasks as needed, including organization of paperwork for reporting to funding and financial partners, casting, production office duties, assisting with communication to departments and any other tasks as necessary.

• Working as part of the producing team, you will be a key team member in establishing, selecting participants for, and coordinating a mentorship and training program for emerging Indigenous screen artists as part of this Indigenous led film production. 

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, be detail oriented, clear communicator, a team player, reliable and highly organized.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have:

• Producer experience (web, shorts, features, doc, etc) OR experience in a Production Office in Film or Television

• Training and mentorship skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong project management skills

• A passion for and keen interest in screen production

• Must have a valid G driver’s license

• Computer proficiency (PC or Mac)  

• Legally entitled to work in Canada

• Be a minimum age of 18 years old, Ontario resident

• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and willingness to learn and take direction
